This last weekend 11 of the MBA full time students flew to Taipei for a long weekend. Two of our classmates on the trip grew up there and have family there, so we all knew we were in for a treat.
For our Mandarin Language course we were required to make a presentation about travelling and my group decided to turn our topic into a song. Please enjoy our original composition about "我不知道" (Wǒ bù zhīdào) - a very helpful phrase if you are a foreigner in China.
In the last two months, our class has taken part in multiple events and have done many activities together. There are many funny photos every time we hangout and there is ONE person who always brings these photos to the level of EPIC!
The date was 30 August 2017, and the setting was HKUST’s glorious seafront football pitch. Because it was only three days into our first proper week of classes, the Sports and Leadership Club decided to feed off the energy to host the inaugural jUSTforKicks International 6-a-side MBA Football Tournament.
Soon after we settled down at HKUST, it was time to test our team work capabilities. Our program arranged a warm-up case study for us to understand how to crack a real business problem.
On July 14, 2017, I packed my entire life and left Canada with a bucket list in hand.
Thailand was #1 on that list.

On the morning of July 26, I arrived in Hong Kong for the first time ever. There was a slight anxiety – I was going to live in a new city without first knowing it, and also a sense of wonder at the opportunities that Hong Kong and the MBA program would open for me.

If there is one thing that is certain in the HKUST MBA, its late nights. Not because we are cooped up in the library studying; many of these late nights happen when the class heads to Central for one reason or another. The reasons we head out to central may vary but there is one iconic activity we do in central – head to Ichiran in Causeway Bay.
